I just liked this as soon as I saw it. The curved line of birds leading into the (seeming) spiral is simply great. Nice composition, a welcome change from traditional bird shots, and an example of seizing the moment. Well done. |

I'm going through the entries, stopping at those images I feel have had the benefit of an unconventional eye and dwelling a little longer to try to see and appreciate what you saw. This is one of those images.
Positives: Is this vertically upward? It looks like it should be but your aspect ratio confounds the brain somehow. I like that, ambiguity is always good! The coloration here is exceptional and the 'overlapping' birds are particularly interesting. The overall distribution of the birds is interesting too.
Critical stuff: Nothing really.
Overall: A simple scene, made interesting by your photographic choice. Bravo. |
