Love those comments!

For the very curious, this is Chester Morris and Norma Shearer liplocking in 1931's The Divorcee -- a complex, sexually-charged love story from pre-code Hollywood. My lovely wife got me the DVD for Christmas. Old movies are an (other) obsession of mine.

I didn't get to look at this challenge during voting, but I would have given you a high score for this. I like it!

I thought this was a zone plate. What did you put in front of your lens this time?

If it weren't for your title, I would not know what this was... and it certainly would not identify a least or most favorite household item for me. I'm sorry... but for this challenge I simply have to be able to identify the item.

A very rare 4 from me. And that was charity, cause I can see how some people might like this. *cringe*

I hope it's doing better than that from the other voters. :)

A rather compelling image, I certainly have a love hate relationship with this wretched creature. The haze reminds me of the comment "That thing will rot your brain, you've watched enough, turn it off!". I'm sure many parents will relate. 9

It's neat how the picture comes into view the longer you stare at it.

This image becomes very humorous once one reads its title. But:

I experience more and more saturation with these type of photos, as interesting or beautiful as they are, they tend to be "post Gerhard Richter".
Perhaps a better place for them would be in a different kind of challenge, with a pure bend towards mixed media. In which case they would get the proper consideration.
This is by no means a criticism to this particular image but to a trend that I saw for the month and a half that I am on this site, therefore, in all fairness, I will copy and paste this comment to all related photos.
Please do not consider me rude or with primitive tastes. I just want to do justice, at least in my mind, to each image and appreciate it for its uniqueness in the context in which it is presented.
