 Half Dome from a meadow on the road to the Ahwahnee Hotel.

We were heading to the Ahwahnee early for a late dinner when my wife (who was driving, actually) noticed the sunlight on Half Dome. I had all of ten minutes to get a shot, any shot before the light went away.

I like the composition and the moody processing. Somewhat lacking in sharpness, though, which detracts from the impact for me.

I really like the lighting in the field and on Half Dome...my only criticism is the loss of detail in the trees/shadows...

Very nice! I want to go there now. Suggestion: the tree could have been made a layer and brightened, also the Mt on the left seem dull is comparison to the rest of the photo. With that said you nailed the foreground (grass) color

Just trying to help: Shadows are too dark, not enough contrast in the sky/clouds, foreground seems sharp (and maybe a bit too dark) but the distant mountains look soft
