Challenge: Rule of Thirds V (Advanced Editing VII)
Camera: Canon Powershot G11
Location: Piran, Slovenia
Date: Feb 7, 2011
Aperture: 4.5
ISO: 80
Shutter: 1/1000 s
Galleries: Seascapes, Textures
Date Uploaded: Feb 8, 2011

A lonely buoy in the Piran bay. I liked the transition between rippled water near shore to the foggy horizon. I just wish the sea horizon line would be (more) visible.

I am usually not a fan of images with a lot of negative space, but this is just excellent. 10

I love the simplicity. If you did the "rule of thirds grid" wouldn't the buoy, fall a bit lower in the shot, to be at the perfect intersection?

I think this would have worked better if the only item to draw your attention was something more pleasing.
