 OK, this is my son and he’s not so much lost as sad for missing his turn on a flying fox at a play ground. But when I look at the photo ‘lost’ is what I imagine. The reason for the missed focus was me racing to consol him. No, I didn’t pinch or scowl at him to make the shot, but I guess I am callus enough to slow down to take the shot.

Photos of my kids don’t seem to do too well (my daughter in the Half Challenge being judged at present is at 4.8xxx) so I guess this may not do to well either. I guess I see my kids through the eyes of a father as I believe they’re a cute as anything.

For a kid shot that’s not perfectly focused taken by a hack photographer in a Free Study I’m not expecting this to finish in the 5’s – probably 4.8xxx as well. But I do love the emotion and lighting captured and maybe some others may like it too.
