Fort Jefferson Nat'l Park, 70 miles out from Key West, in the Gulf of Mexico.
This is a 12 inch cannon. When it was used, the cannon balls were heated red hot in an oven before being loaded and fired in order that they would set wooden ships or powder magazines on fire if they hit them and the ball stayed in the hull.
