I agree about getting closer. The car may be a distraction but it does help to balance the composition. In fact, it's very nicely composed and framed. Framing is the challenge when getting up close and working at wider focal lengths. Keep it up though...

Although you've mentioned your subject is centered I don't really consider this guy a subject of the photo (other than he's a person, which should make him more dominant than the car?). |

Although this has a lot of interesting elements, I feel that they're all fighting for my attention. We're a bit too far from the guys on the bike, who are quite a bit smaller and darker than the car; there's the sign, and the wreath on the lamppost.. |

Love the sign, the bike, the shirt, the lamp post, the wreath...but damn, I WISH that car was out of the shot! Then just a little zoomed in and I think the shot would have been totally different. Great though. |
