Thanks for the comments. I thought that toning down the contrast gave the dress shoes a duller, more lonely feel. From the comments... that was the wrong thing to do. If I had been allowed to take just the Keds and add contrast to them alone I would have to make them pop but this was basic editing. Is there a way to do that either in basic editing or in taking the photo that I could have done to create that effect? A trick with with lighting? Open for suggestions and critique.

Interesting setup, I personally would of like to have seen a little more of the Florsheims in the image, but that's just my opinion. 7 |

Wish the Keds poppes out a bit more, maybe a different focus would help. |

Like the idea. Needs more contrast and, small detail but, you might want to tie all the laces. |
