 Last Spring, my Father in Law bought my son some baby chickens. Together, they raised them and Travis learned how to be a "chicken farmer."

Then, in the Fall, a stray dog got trapped inside the Chicken run and that was the end of our 21 chickens. :( A very, very sad day.

I posted about it on facebook, and within MINUTES, one of my husband's cousins posted that they were thinking of getting a different breed, did we want theirs?

This was one of the "gifts." She is very friendly and enjoys being petted.

We think she is a barred plymouth rock.

Very nice detail captured and Rosie is quite pretty! (Sad story but a happy ending. :))
