More comments on this image than I expected. Running into her while shopping at the markets was a little sad and uncomfortable. It is unusual to see a caucasian in southern Taiwan so I get looked at but she held a stare and I clicked this picture in her general direction. I like the image but had to crop quite a bit to get something decent. I think she is Indonesian and homeless but not sure. She followed us through the markets and tried to sell us an old scruffy dog. When I look at this image I'm reminded of this moment and wonder how she got where she is.

What a cool capture! She looks frightened, or nervous, or something that I can't quite put my finger on. The processing is fantastic and the border makes her look trapped in that moment. Awesome!

Well I see that ubique has already seen this image, 'cos I immediately thought of him on seeing it. Striking.

Wonderful how this blur, this shiver, takes us right in.

Outstanding. Treads the knife edge. Big fan of the border, for this one.

Wow! That has some penetration Henry. Perfect level of rendering. Any more fidelity and it'd be diminished by being too equivocal. Any less would blunt its spear point.
