Self Portrait with my black poodle Fifi. She is black and hard to photograph. This had a white sheet background that I selected out and replaced with the country road.

Had brolly cam left 45deg from subject and small softbox subject left about 8ft.

I have to get out of that room...ceiling is cedar and gives skin the cedar tint.

Great self portrait but the wrong background choice. Sorry, rather blunt. I think a formal background would work better than a natural setting for this capture.
(I struggle with the same depth of field/perspective issues.)

I'm wondering how to make the subject more like it is really there....I know it will never look perfect but I'm wondering if some blur on the edges would work.

I'm fishing around for some more free backgrounds. The one I used was really stretch b/c it was so small to begin with.

Thanks for the comments.
