Inspired by memories of the scenes at numerous concerts and gigs, but I've only got one set of hands, so couldn't recreate the crowds ;o) I fired the flash at the beginning of the shot, then moved around in the remaining time, giving the clear hand with the flame motion-blurred to either side.

The original shot was then cropped, focus tweaked, levels adjusted quite a lot (darkened the midtone mostly), and bordered.

Nice effort. I wonder how many people missed this. Really nice to have the had in such focus.

Commentary:
I think John Cleese said it right. "and now for something different"
This is a decent job. I like this shot. I think the lighting with the flash is a tad bit harsh. Your motion is good and you blur is nice. Personally I think the focus was a little weak. I would not hang this print in my house, but with a little tweak I could see this as an album cover. Good shot.

This shows a very good sense of movement and the colors are great. Very well done.
