Turbulence - in a glass fountain
Composition (Content)
I like all of the different shapes and colors in this photo. The cold vertical glass with the motion of the water at the bottom real is appealing.
Background
One would almost think that there is a lot of 'noise' in this shot, but upon closer inspection, the 'haze' is a result of the streams of water. Background is good as well as DOF.
Camera Work (Technical)
Good shutter speed used to capture the motion of the water falling into the pool and creating the 'turbulence'.
Digital Processing (Technical)
Sharpening is good(Doesn't look like you over sharpened this photo).
Balance between light and dark is good. (Might like to have the colors pop off the screen a little more)
Compression is good(No noticeable compression artifacts)
My opinion
Very interesting shot. Great abstract pulling nature and man made forms together. |

this photo has good composition with the shiney surfaces and different colors surrounding the water. a lot going on but it fits together very well. the glass surfaces and the lines in the glass blocks all point to the water in the middle. i would like to have seen the water either stopped completely with a faster shutter speed or more soft and white with a longer shutter speed. the reason why is that the background of the picture, the glass blocks, are the point of focus because they are the things that are in focus. just my opinion. excellent photograph. |

No comments for improvement hear. I like the composition and colrs captured in this photograph, especially the little bits of red (almost looks like sections of the watter is on fire). Motion is depicted well by the turbulant waters, and overall the elements in the picture come together to make up a compelling abstract. |

Id crop the top and left out of the picture and perhaps have a bit more of the water. |

Commontary:
I wish the lighiting was a little better toward the back. The lines of composition move you very nicley through this shot all the way to the back and then out of the frame. Good job with that. :-) |

I love the dreamlike quality of the colors of glass blocks here. The water is also an incredible shade of blue..almost like an impressionistic painting...this is one of my faves. 10 |
