Outside in our courtyard, on a white poster board, with a little bit of pearl string. Roses are from my garden. :) I have always had a passion for miniature roses - my grandfather planted one for me in my garden, then kept clipping pieces and "starting" new plants. I bought two more colors (making them deep red, white, and pink), which he also continued to cultivate and make multiply. After his death, in early July of 2000, I went out to our garden to see my original plants. From the three, I now have over 52 little miniature rose bushes located in the backyard, front yard, courtyard, and our "fairy garden" (side yard).
When I saw this challenge, my roses were the first things that popped in to my mind, and I couldn't resist this little tribute. Whatever the score, this will probably be one of my favorite challenge entries to date. The large roses are also some that he planted, started from a clipping from his own bushes at his house.
All I did was crop and resize. |

| Hard to comment (and vote) on this one because I had a similar idea. Good concept! roses are a little out of focus and I like a sharper image. At first I liked the texture added by the beads but they may distract from the focus. |
