That's an impressive number of birds. Unfortunately, since they are each so small in the frame and they don't have the benefit of color to help separate them from the background, they end up looking more like a texture. That's not necessarily a bad thing, in the bigger scope of things, but for this challenge, I don't think it all works as well as it would have in color. It's a nice black and white conversion, though.

Love all the ones standing at the lower right. That is an amazing amount of birds in flight.

Beautiful photo. To me the birds are really not the subject. It took me a while to even properly see them. Even when I did, though, the birds still seemed like an afterthought.

truly awesome! I'm wondering if it's a little over sharpened -- but what a spectacular shot! (not voting, just commenting)

A fascinating experiment; using the birds as texture.
I think the mountain steals the show, though.

Wish you could have been a little closer to the action, maybe with a longer lens. Would have accentuated the foreground, middle and background feel to it.

Magnificent scene. From the background to the foreground.
B&W is a very good idea here.

It's fantastic, how the birds become part of the scenery. Love the lines they create.
Very well done!

An equally suitable title might be "Traffic Jam". Or possibly "Air Traffic Controller's Nightmare!" Fun shot!

I know it's tough in basic editing to make them show up but there are a few tricks that are legal. That said, I kind of enjoyed having to look hard at this just to find them - the subtlety and the curvy puzzle pieces are kinda fun.
