I certainly agree with the comments about the distracting shadows. I tried this shot many different ways. I only have one light source. If I didn't use it I wound up with a lack of detail where I wanted it, and with it the dreahadows. This was a learning experience for me. I am grateful to those who left the constructive criticism.

Hah, I used to have a fishing tackle shop, I repaired these old Penn reels every day :-)

Nicely done; the shadows are a little distracting, imo

The lighting looks a little off, is this a HDR shot???
Nice solid disassembled object picture.

Nicely dissassembled reel :)
In my taste too hard shadows behind the parts otherwise it's a photo good enough for a handbook on repairing fishing equipment!

Lots of nice shapes and colors. I wish that you would have exploited the textures just a bit more. It's *almost* a straight up and down shot, but the perspective on it makes it feel like things are unstable or falling, rather than floating. I think I would have like to have seen this exposed a with another light as well, the background seems a bit dark, along with the shadows.

The wear and tear on the components gives the feeling that this was a much used fishing reel.

I have been looking forward to this challenge, and this is the kind of image I was waiting to see. Fascinating. :)
