Sort of a shoe-horn image for me. I had a high-school senior session with this amazing girl who wanted a vintage look to some of her portraits. I thought.....great, maybe I can find something for the Edward Weston challenge. Hope it does OK. Had fun with the styling of the image....not quite a Weston fan. I think most of his portraits were lacking contrast and were rather "still". His fruit and nude work had so much more contrast than his studio portrait work.

very classic portrait - maybe a bit too flat in lighting/ processing

Another wonderful portrait in the Weston style, IMHO. Interesting that many of his shots are rather high contrast, but from what I have seen, his portraits are generally not so. 8

Very unique entry. I assume you intentionally didn't want to give it more contrast. After having looked at Weston's images, it seems to me, he tried to give his images good amount of contrast. I think the lack of contrast might hurt your score a little bit, but I still like the "old photo" look you have given to this. Bumping this one to 8. I like it even more now.

My take is that Weston's portraits aren't very portrait-y. Your shot is a beautiful portrait, but I think misses the Weston flavor.

I'd like a tad more contrast. The overall effect is gray, not black & white.
