Location: philippines
Date: Mar 28, 2011
Aperture: f2.8
ISO: 400
Shutter: 1/100

I took this picture based on my emotion that day.
I only use sunlight for the light source and I took the picture against the light so that it will give a dramatic effect.

Do not feel like anything is sharp in the photo, not the phone nor the person

Great emotion.

oooh I like the story in this....

I know the focus is suppose to be on the disassembled phone, but you should've shown that more in the photo. The whole picture is blurry.

I like this and the message that is conveyed, however, the clarity and soft focus is my only complaint.

concept and mood = 9; processing leaves me wishing for some real blacks and real whites. 6

Makes me sad. :( ten for emotional impact.

I think the fact that nothing is in focus adds to the drama.

This is one cool shot!

An entry that goes beyond the dissassembly and tells an emotional story. I love it!

A very emotional shot. The focus makes the photo look as if it scene is being viewed through tear filled eyes.

I don't mind the blur. Initial reaction was "yeah, I've felt that way." Second reaction was "wait, what exactly happened?" I can see the title being a reference to the phone (?) being broken, but the reaction of the female doesn't quite match. The pose isn't really one of physical pain, but I don't quite get emotional pain either. I could see this being more along the lines of anger, or a temper tantrum, or some quick loss of control... but not really "hurt".

The texture in the foreground is good, despite being OOF. I wouldn't mind seeing a tad more low end contrast. Cropping feels right (almost, just get the toe in there)

overall, 6

I like the light coming in from behind. It would have been nice to have the bits of the phone all in focus though.

and broken...cool shot

yes, nothing is in focus, but nonetheless I like this picture... it tells a story and the blur and grain add to the mood

Wow, I am not usually a huge fan of the 'make it look grotty on purpose' shots, but this one packs a punch. Nicely done.
