Not a terribly artsy title, is it? But I thoroughly enjoyed seeing this place, or what's left of it, and all the stairways leading to dark and empty places. It's an old battery out at Fort Washington. The fort dates back to 1809 in various incarnations, but it's been a park since 1946, with a whole slew of buildings of various ages and states of preservation. And cannons, which are fired by reenactors in the summer. A place worth exploring.
