This is an interesting picture, I like it. However, one can't tell if this die is huge or miniature. Something normal sized needs to be in the shot so the size of the die can be known.

I'm not sure what is the idea behind this photo!
08/08/2004 09:25:24 PM
It looks about normal size to me...
08/08/2004 07:18:21 AM
There is nothing to show its size.
08/07/2004 10:35:41 AM
Where's the miniature?
08/07/2004 09:49:03 AM
Nice photo, but doesn't meet the challenge, IMO

You should have place a "normal" dice near this one, just to let us compare their size differences (what's miniature here... ???)

This doesnt really convey me that it is mini

forgive me for being dense, but i'm not sure how this meets the challenge. while it's ok as a macro shot, i tend to lean towards shots with more dof.

Looks like a regular sized die to me. Nothing to compare it to. Didn't meet the challenge.
08/05/2004 02:09:56 AM
did you throw up on that ...

SHallow DOF and I don't see how it meets the challenge???
08/04/2004 09:39:40 PM
a little too blurry; could be sharper.

I'm sure this is very small - but I'd liketo have some comparison to see just how small - a familiar background that gives some idea of scale or perhaps the corner of another familiar object - a regular die perhaps? I like the detail I see in a tiny part of the top corner, but I wish you had a greater depth of field so the whole thing could be sharp, would work better for a metal object.

there is no relative scale here.. i have no clue how big or small the cube is
08/04/2004 10:18:21 AM
From this picture there is no way to tell that the object is a miniature . You need some recognizable size reference

Focus seems off. Subject not particularly appealing. Some different perspectives and changes in lighting might improve the overall image.
