Driver's a little short, don't you think? As far as the tip for taking photos, I run into the same thing at the Ft. Worth Stockyards. Many of the folks who play historic characters work for tips and most of them are polite about the way they suggest them. There is only one regular who I find obnoxious with the manner in which he suggests it, so I just don't photograph him. I've also paid the shoeshine guys for letting me photograph them at work. The folks who earn their money in some other way (Like the carriage drivers), I don't usually offer a tip, though I do come back and give them a print if the photo turns out well. I may need to rethink that and perhaps offer a tip. They might be losing a paying fare while standing there letting me take photos. |
