 Marigold from my neighbor's yard.

Processing steps:

Crop
Cloned out a distracting friend flower in the background just above this one.
Dodged and Burned and healed on a new layer then merged down
Copy up and burn around edges
sponge tool set to desaturate and killed a bit of the bright green in the background so it would blend better
merged down
healing brush where I cloned earlier to make smoother transitions
Curves
Copy layer and change to black and white
set layer blending mode to overlay and opacity to 16%
Merged down
USM at 150, 1.5, 2
resized for challenge
USM at 50, .5, 0
history brush set to resize step on all of background and leaves
