Congratulations on making a picture of animal sex REALLY cool. So many things are great (colours, focus, title, content, humour, etc.) about this shot and I'm disappointed it didn't ribbon.
I browsed your profile, I love your approach to photography. Keep up the good work. I'm sure you'll ribbon extremely soon given your technical acumen, creativity, and originality!

| Excellent shot with very well balanced lovely colours and superb detail. I also love the DOF. The only thing I am a bit uneasy about is the format of this image. It does look a bit like a forced composition. But I love this image. Well done. |

I would have cropped off another 15-20% off the top, but I think this one deserves an 8. |

| Yet another bug hunt. I like the focus and the diagonal grain of the wood. The nail head does a nice job of balancing the image. With TWO bugs, you can claim Macro and Action! (LOL) Nice image. Good luck. |
