What an appalling photograph. It has nothing that DPC celebrates, but everything that it should. The sad little awry plot of American flags with the barely included man-with-a-bucket makes a sublime social commentary on a global scale. Somebody has to clean up this mess, this dismal landscape of hopeful banners and bad intentions, and as ever it's not going to be the grand but useless United Nations. It's going to be some poor dickhead with a Chevy pickup, a heart-stopping mortgage and a baseball cap.

The appropriately lower case 'we are the champions of the world' is without question the most perfectly ironic sentiment for this excellent picture.
