Either my artistic vision is nowhere near everyone else, or I'm doing something wrong since I seem to only know how to displease DPC voters.

The edge of the card was shown to give the appearance of a floating spacecraft or "planet." Perhaps I was unclear on that. I also added the border at the very last second (which was probably a poor decision) in attempts to draw more attention to the center of the image, thus cropping part of the bottom corner. My intent was to get the viewer to focus on the bokeh and lead the eyes towards the sharp foreground. I feel my score was hurt mainly by the edge of the card showing and the border.

This 'illusion' would have been more effective without being able to see the edges of the 'landscape' thus fooling the eye into losing its sense of proportion.

I like the lighting, like a bright summer day in the city. But would have preferred a deeper DOF

The red does the trick, normal it's green.

Different, good. Would like to see the bottom of the board inside the red box. Lighting seems a tad harsh, but minor.

The red draws the attention to too many places.. a green one would've done better
Don't like the border :)

The overhead lighting hurts this image somewhat. Perhaps multiple light sources would have been better and closer to the plane of the circuit board. Watch on TV for an Intel Ad and see how they make circuits interesting ... try emulating that.

Interesting angle on a computer expansion card. Maybe show more of the card and less of the edge next time. That will give the feeling of a landscape. The border is a bit distracting.

Don't think that thin red line adds to this nicely planned, well photographed picture.
