Hello from the critique club.
First off, I find your image very attractive as a piece of art or as a manipulated photograph. The nice blue glow is quite effective and the inside of the lamp where you have denoised it is also aesthetically very nice.
However, if your looking for a high scoring photograph, this kind of editing tends not to do so well on DPC or in other photo challenges.
The emphasis here to the majority of voters is on photographic techniques and ethics. Digital artistry doesn't really fit in with this view.
However, that is not a bad thing, and there are many users such as my self whom enjoy looking at digital art.
Next time, if score was your ideal, I would suggest being a bit more light on the photoshop editing. I think this image here would have really worked as a strict photograph. Obviously a tripod would be needed, and a long shutter - but the light omitting would;d be superb as it is here.
One final thing, digital art or photography - you should try to utilize the maximum file size on DPC which is 640 wide or high. Your image comes in at 400 pixels so there is a lot more room for a larger image.
If you want to discuss this in more detail, please feel free to PM me.

I wish you had written more notes. You have some nice pictures in your portfolio, so this picture must have been taken with an idea in mind. Sorry it didn't carry over to the audience. |

Though this may be the effect you were going for, I wish it was a little less out-of-focus. |

The picture is fuzzy from lack of focus. All the space around the lamp doesn't add to the composition and could have been eliminated by moving closer to the subject. Try to avoid over use of neat image. Sorry for being so negative. |

It just doesn't look like you put much thought or effort into this entry. The lamp is out of focus and crooked. The blue light is overexposed. I'm sorry, but I can't rate this very high. 1 |

Cool abstract shot. Nice shapes and colors. It would be nice if it were bigger, and maybe cropped tighter or zoomed in more on the interesting stuff, I'd like a closer looked at the cool swirly patterns. |

Though fitting the challenge, this image needs help in my opinion.
I don't know if you intended on this being a soft focus shot or it was just blurry, but in my opinion, it hurts the image. Needs a little rotation CCW too. Good subject.

should be in better focus I think. Doesn't seem too interesting while not in focus. |

I'm thinking the soft focus was intentional? I think the idea is a good one, but would have cropped it much closer, maybe even removing the top & bottom portions of the lamp. |

i can see where your going. what you should of done is use a 28-150mm lens and shoot around 1/10 of a sec. focus it and as soon as you click that button zoom in fast and zoom out and you would of got an nice glow effect |

More green than blue, and I'm not sure about the soft focus. |
