NO INSECTS WERE INJURED IN THE MAKING OF THIS IMAGE

Little fella died on my wondow sill long before I took his picture.

I'd have liked to have rearranged his legs but they were very fragile, with more time I'd have moved them and probably had to glue them back on in the right places.

A good subject but the head really needed to be in focus too. Dynamic composition.

i really like the composition and absence of destractions. however, i keep wanting the head to be in focus. while the wings look really good, i am left wanting to see more from the body.

Voted earlier..returning for comments.
Now, this is a good comp. I like the way the subject fills the frame...but you need to close the f stop to its maximum to obtain the dof needed. Your score is for effort. Bumping from 5 to 6.

I wish the focus was on his face rather than the wings. He certainly does have long legs :)

A little fuzzy here and there, but the excellent composition makes up for that. Love those wings!

Yet another bug ... but if you've got to be a bug ... Wow! The lighting, especially of the wings, is fantastic. I don't mind the tail being out of focus, but if the head were in focus, this would get 1-2 more points from me.

Too bad about the focus...there would have been some nice detail in the head.
