 I was driving back to school when the sun was setting. I saw a bridge ahead on the highway and decided to stop and snap a few photos of the sunset. The sun was setting extremely fast and in my haste I accidentally shot this at ISO 800. Oh well.

I blended 2 exposures together to achieve the high dynamic range. I opened the darker photo first and changed the white balance. Opened the second, foreground photo and added a slight vignette and took the exposure down by about -.60. Once both were opened in photoshop I used a gradient to bring the darker sky into the lighter foreground. Essentially I used photoshop to duplicate the effects of a graduated ND filter. After flattening those layers I did the same thing only with a slight blur to blur the background a little. Resize, sharpened, and submitted.

nice lighting on the girl, too bad there wasn't more drama going on in the sky would have made it even better for me

i like the sky color and the pound but i think the fence should be the main item. I did read the challenge description and i know nowhere it says the fence have to be the main subject but what i mean is i feel like there is too much too look at in the photo my eyes at first go on the pound and the sky but the little girl and the fence are in focus so i dont know what is wrong maybe this is just me.
