Okay, well maybe somebody didn't think dogwood trees could be this pretty!
I wait for this tree every year - and this particular day it was overcast and looked so beautiful and just worked out for the minimal editing. HOORAY!

This is gorgeous. The detail in the translucent petals is awesome. Great job getting the green in the leaves properly exposed also. I have never been able to get a good image of dogwood blooms, but you have shown me the way now! Congrats on the top 10!

Oh those dogwood flowers! I like the veins in the petals show and the increased intensity of color at the tips which breaks the monotony and sets a pattern. If you had cropped it on the right half, the composition could have been cleaner. Right now, the upper left is a bit crowded.

wonderful colors and the see-through details! although at first i didn't like that the whole frame is filled, i then realized that is actually the strong point of this photograph - it creates a very pleasing texture! 10
