Looking back at all the photo's from this challenge its hard to believe that some of these placed as low as they did (and some as high as they did). I would have placed this shot at the very least in the top 20.

Love the treatment you chose. It works nicely with your subject. Gives it a sad feeling as is helped by your title. Very nice composition.

Great B&W and supercomposition. Love the dark feeling of the image. Really enhances the appearance of the flowers that have long pased their prime.

Nice title. Good use of DOF. Youve got some great detail in the foreground, and the out of focus stuff in the background gives context without being distracting, The B&W makes it even simpler and more elegant. 7

what if you cropped this so the focus isn't directly in the center of the photo?

Good workmanlike photo which is technically perfect, or virtually so. Subject loses me though.
