I don't see a connection to 'miniature'. A nylon rope doesn't really have a standard size so there isn't anything surprising about a miniature rope---that would just be string. There is also very little to indicate the size of the rope except for the specks of gravel on the floor. I'm guessing it is a shoelace. A miniature rope? I think this was a really poor choice of subject for this challenge. Sorry.

Asthetically, there isn't much to move me. Technically, it is fine--sharp, if a bit lacking in highlight detail.

The idea was good, colors are nice. I like the background - except for the sand/dirt. What represents miniature?

Sorry I don't see how this meets the challenge.

I am lost in terms of what the miniature is in this challenge. I'm sure that comment is annoying to you! Hopefully, when the challenge is over, we can get more of an explanation. Lighting, contrast, and focus are all good. Seems a bit too pixelated in the upper right hand corner.

Premis?

forgive me for being dense, but i'm not sure how this meets the challenge. as an image, it does have possibilities, but i'd need someone to explain to me how it fits this challenge. i would probably like it more if the end was a little sharper and if the backlighting wasn't quite so harsh.

Are you trying for last place? If so, great job! If not, it's grainy, overexposed, to shallow of DOF, very uninteresting, poorly lighted, distracting background... Oh yeah, and I don't see how it meets the challenge.

I don't think it meets the requirements.

Nice shot. Could have been better if there's a familiar object/size in the photo.
