 I wanted the background to be blurry but still have it be obvious what it was. The light is the sun and an 430exii in ETTL. Shot in Av for the DOF.
During RAW conversion I lowered exposure, added a bit of fill light, removed most of the blue channels, raised contrast and lowered clarity to give it a soft look and finally cropped in ACR.
In Photoshop, some curves adjustment with emphasis on bringing out details in the white areas. A hue/sat layer to remove the rest of the blue and add a very slight shift to the reds in the image.

My purpose is to show the solace and peace flowers offer us in remembrance of our loved ones.

Hoping for a PB here, but that's not saying *too* much!

are those "fake flowers"...really...if they aren't they sure do look like it

Forgive me if I'm wrong, but that flower doesn't look to real to me. I could be wrong, and like I said, I deeply apologize if I am. =/
I'm not too crazy about the composition. Maybe if it was just one flower or something.. I find the white area at the bottom left hand corner, distracting.
