 A photo for the Macro 4 Challenge. I had sprayed water on the mushrooms to give it a look that it just rained while the sun was poking out. I thought it would add more to a boring shot of mushrooms. Just a little Photo FX trick. Indeed it was a very clear and hot sunny day that day I took this shot. Add some water, and walla it looks like Spring time again.

Post photo edits: Unsharp Mask, Channel Mixer, Curves adjustments, Brightness and Contrast Adjustments, Hue and Saturation adjustments, Dodge and Burning, one little speck of cloning out a ridiculous blurry water droplet in the background. Resized and saved for web.

This is fantastic! I love everything about this shot - the lighting, colors, focus, DOF, composition... My newest Favorite!

Really nice composition but I feel the ?natural light isn't enough here....I would like to see more detail underneath

Very interesting. I love the colors and the umbrella effect of the tall one. Nice capture. Bumping from 4 to 6

Beautiful, beautiful picture. The colors are just gorgeous. The lighting is softly dramatic. The precise focus with medium DOF really supports the drama of the image. Among my top ten and a good candidate to ribbon.

Very nice capture. I could almost see this hanging on a wall. I really like the way that the lighting hits these musthrooms.

The angle is also very cool. It lends the idea that this is a picture of a giant mushroom forest.

I keep coming back to this very nice photo because I like the composition, color and glow. I wonder if you might try using a reflective diffuser on this type of shot to eliminate the shadows (on the mushrooms) but still keep the glow. Still, it has a lot going for it, as is.
