Thanks for the constructive comments. I went with this one becuse I happend to like the way the light bottom and dark top balance eachother. I was expecting more it's underexposed comments than I got though.
I only had one light source, a difused flash. The picture was taken in the reflection of a mirror. |

The unequal inner black border really detracts from this otherwise nice shot. I also find that the white border is way too wide.

Nice focus, but I would have preferred the upper portion of the eye to be brighter. White paper held under the eye to bounce the light onto it would have been enough. |

Nice image, well focused and captured. It is not as dramatic and another image with a similar subject. Desaturation may be part of the difference. composition may be another. |

Absolute perfect focus and stunning detail. Three light sources? The extra wide two-tone border doesn't work for me. Althoough this is probably a common choice for macro - it should do very well indeed. |
