I like what the hands are doing in this. Not sure how HCB it is or whether it hits a 'decisive moment'. I like how the bars and railings are quite claustrophobic and mirror the woman's hands and perhaps nod to other barriers. I had a few other shots which had elements which i liked a lot more but they were let down by composition really.

I think that you chose well over the outtakes although is excellent also.
You chose between the distant dignity of the old man over its occasional goofy side.
They lived to see a lot and waited for things to happen and it took some struggle to accept them and the woman remains solid in her serenity and faith.

I always weave a story around an image. Be kind with my rambling.

this is interesting.... I love the way he's looking past her. Oblivious to what she's seeing.

Good tension in this one. There are stories in those fleeting expressions.

Back to comment and to bump: I really like this image, but I'm having difficulty pining down exactly why, so I'll leave it at that!!

The light on both of their faces is excellent

Just a touch too much contrast for me as I cannot easily see the expression on the old ladies face, over all I like the shot though. Really like the expression on the old chaps face.

I am sure I recognise this location too, looks like my local bus depot, will be interested to see where you are from after this contest ends :)

Ah! Wonderful catch. The light on the faces is just right. You get the feeling they've been waiting places together for more years than most of us have been around.

I like the BW (especially for a minimal ruleset), not sure I am getting the composition.

I really love the man in the background! His face is perfectly lit and contrasted. It's a moment captured in his life, wondering what he was thinking. Hmmmmmmm....now I wish I knew. :)

A very nice capture, the tones and contrast are spot on, the way you framed it is very good and the guys expression makes it all work.
