 I picked this one to PP by its histogram. And used the histogram to PP. I'm going to use the histogram next time I shoot red roses. I'm beginning to think that one of the things that makes shooting red roses difficult is the dynamic range. When I shoot red roses with the HDR optimizer on my camera, it seems over-exposed. So I'm taking a neutral density filter with me next time. Shooting red, purple, and orange successfully seems like a good challenge for this summer. Like it was last summer. And the summer before that!

Nice rich range of tones. Reds are hard (thanks for sending me some tips, I'll try to use them when there are some red flowers around again.)
