 I found this hawk in my front yard, acting very strangely. I took this from about 10 feet away. The next day, I found it on the ground being harrassed by dogs. After scaring the dogs away, I captured it and took it to a bird rescue shelter here. It had apparently been struck by a car and has an injured wing. A full recovery is expected.

you deserve a ribbon for the rescue of this gorgeous bird. that was a brave thing in light of those talons. great capture in every sense of the word!

Looks like he needs a hair brush! Feathers are everywhere on this felluh! Haha! Cool photo! Nice bokeh in the background but kinda wish it was on both sides of the bird's body.

A very nice capture! Think this would've been that much better with a tighter crop to really bring out the details of the bird!

Beautiful capture with wonderful detail. The dof is great but it's a pity about the white circles as they are a bit distracting.
