Greetings from the Critique Club
Hi.
First off let me say that the concept here is very well portrayed with the puzzle of the states and the "Good Times" (what I had understood as propaganda) newspaper in the background. The title "States of Confusion" also fits the bill as I agree with your commenters.
Although the depth of the puzzle pieces going back is effective, the angle on the soldier is a little bit to head-on for me. His stance is well-done but the gun in front of his face is a little bit distracting.
I think your score suffered for two reasons. Number one, the concept did not match up perfectly with the challenge. Number two (and this could even tie in with number one) there is a fight between what should be the focal point of the image. I'm not sure if it is supposed to be the soldier or the puzzle pieces. One would assume it is the soldier, but the angle and the focus lead us to second guess ourselves.
Nonetheless, a strong image. I like the inclusion of the soldier stomping on DC. You'll always get some votes against you when dealing with politics, but overall, a well-done image.
Any questions or comments you can PM me or e-mail me via my profile.

Nice and the best of the toy soldiers. There are lots of things to compare him to and they are all related to your theme. Good job. |

Good title. creative idea Is that Washington the state or DC he is standing on? Not sure you needed the Good times newsletter in the back ground - but I understand its inclusion. |

This has multiple layers of appeal - interesting visually and also in terms of content - it certainly communicates a view on the current political situation in the world. 7 |
