For those that think every carnival ride image requires blur here you go. Isn't she lovely? :)

Nice shot of an otherwise "messy" scene. I say that because these "fair" are usually messy looking with all the booths, wires and junk all over the place. However, you managed to give it a good look !

looks like it wasnt that long of an exposure, maybe you could have hand held it. Good capture though.

The pic is too busy...it's better focused on the more attractive flying wheel on the left and shoot with a bit slower shutter to get more impact of motion, imho.

NICE looks like a small county fair, from the backside! I love that you got the (throw-up ride) caught in that spot in the air, good lighting exposure and OOOOoo those dark eery clouds!

Interesting perspective you chose. Instead of getting up close you seemed to go behind the public space into the inner workings of the carnival. I'm surprised you didn't go for a longer exposure to get the lines of light.

Obvious tripod use: High.

A bit more time and hence blur would have helped isolate the moving versus the static components, and made both a stronger image and a better entry for the challenge.

Obvious use of a tripod, or any other long-term stabilization tool (1-10 *is not the score of the shot though*): 2
You had the perfect opportunity to show tripod usage in this shot, but didn't take full advantage of it. Amusement park rides such as these need to have at least several seconds of exposure time to show streaks of blurred light.

I really like the shapes and colors.

cool idea - would love to have seen an even slower shutter speed to get the motion even more pronounced
