My Father-in-law is running for mayor and asked me to take a few photos for his website. This is the Flag in his front yard. Its nice in that it is able to be lowered down from 20ft to about 10 ft. I stood him on a step stool and had my wife use a leaf blower to get it to fly.

minimal post proccessing. most changes made converting from RAW.
curves layer to bring out his eyes
cloning out of a few random power lines and tree branches
slight burn in around the edges

Responding to the title, I can only take your word for it. The composition and pose are good, even if the eyes are a tad unbelievable.

This man ought to be proud of this picture! Nice job. Love the muted feel of the colors and the composition with the flag. One thing... the eyes are very unnatural. No one has Ice blue eyes like that. I think you just worked them too much in PP.
