 A re- shoot of the exact bird in the same yard .. last one was called Polly wanna bokeh and it was for the bokeh challenge. Not a lot of comments so I just went with what I thought was an improvement over the original, hopefully honoring the spirit of the challenge.

I was at 7.4 for the first 6 or 7 votes .. down to 6.7 and change now - still doing better than the 1st one - not much editing done to it - the parrot lives next door to me - will bite me if I give it a chance to though



Thanks so much for all the great comments .. the score sure improved and it was a of of fun watching it go up and down .

This is a great image; the dof is just right with just the right amount of color to compliment the parrot. Hope it does well for you. (voted earlier).

I feel like there is a bit too much space to the left, but love the beak striation and feather detail in the greenwing.

Beautiful portrait of this guy or girl... Sharpness and color are perfect, as well as the complimentary colors of the red and green. Only thing that bothers me slightly is the bokeh of the purple flowers, I like the color but the shape of the bokeh throws it off a bit

I really enjoy the details and colors of the face against that blue and violet bokeh background. Those colors all work very well together.

Already voted, back to comment. Can't figure out which one this is a remake of, but I like this one a lot. The focus on the eye and just surrounding it is spot on. The catch light is perfect and the shallow DOF really works well here. Also, the vibrant colors are wonderful!
