Expected to see this finish much higher.
Great perspective and composition and the subdued blues and greens make a perfect backdrop.
Good work |

it is a pity that you did not get a better depth of field here |

the challenge was about parallel lines meeting -- spider web lines aren't parallel. Lovely picture though. |

creative idea and an interesting capture but the poor DoF and focus don't do it justice |

What an interesting idea and beautifully done. I hate spiders (with a real phobic passion) and yet I'm so fascinated by the tilted composition, the limited focus on just one segment of the web and the colours. I think it would be even stronger were the spider in focus too though only if this could be achieved without bringing too much else into focus. Very original! |

Awesome photo to have the spider out of focus to draw attention to the web and not the spider. I don't do macro photography myself, so I don't know if foreground and background out of focus is possible, but it looks great. 8 |

spider should have been in focus... Great positioning of the various elements and excellent colors but... the spider should have been in focus |

I love this perspective, especially with the dew. The only thing I would suggest is that the spider needs to be more in focus. This that done, this would be not notch.

love this image, and although i've seen quite a bit of spidery themes in the challenges before, this was an interesting one to enter for this theme. love all the colours and how the selected lines in focus lead to the spider. good job, and good luck! 8 |

Good idea, I like the perspective and the play of shallow DOF. |

Very graphically done. You don't see many spider shots shot parallel to the web - good idea. The spider needs to be a bit sharper. |

I think I would have like this shot more if the spider was focused. |

I like the sense of perspective in the web, and the glowing drops of water. However, the spider itself seems out of focus, and that spoils the effect. |

This is a very good picture that would be a great picture if the spider were as sharply focused as the web. |

cool idea. a bit more focus would help to communicate the convergence of the parallel. |

This is a great idea! I'm not sure about the focus though. Maybe the spider should be seen more clearly? |

Creative thinking, good colors, the drops of water takes it to another dimention. Did you leave the spider out of focus intentionally? |

I realy like this. The angle on the web, and colors. By keeping the spider out of focus you keep more attention to the web. |

Star Gate? Beam Me Up? or "Watch Out ~ I'm going to have you for dinner" Great perspective and an interesting focus from the web in the foreground to nearly the spider... you may have played with it a lot to get this effect and depth of field... Having the web in the foreground and the spider in focus would have garnered a 10 from me. |
