Thanks to those that made comments. I do read them and take note for the next challenge. This photo may or may not be NG worthy but I'm extremely happy with it. For those that gave it a two (at least as of this edit) please send me a link to a DPC 10. It must be one magnificent piece of photography.

Your image answers my question about whether my eyes are going dim, or are all of those other shots a bit soft... this is tack sharp!

Lovely! Almost like a studio shot in its clarity and ease. A bit off the right would give virtual space on the left...

I may or may not be voting, so please do not equate my comment with any score.

Enjoyable image, with a great BG and enough sharpness on head and eyes, feathers and legs. The composition is too far to the left, breaking rules perhaps. Nothing unusual about that as NG aren't totally formula shots. Is it telling enough of a story for NG is what you have to ask yourself before submitting it to them.

It's a Mockingbird. I wouldn't get too close watching one of those assertive little monsters! Nice detail on him. For this challenge, a little more environmental context wouldn't be a bad thing.

Wonderful detail I just wish he was looking at the camera! (picky aren't I)
