Hey Steve. Good simple shot and taking the time to set this up and using what you have here you have done a great job on it.
Comp perfect for the simplicity and minimalism to work. The only thing that could maybe improve it for me is the blacks to the top being to dark. You have some banding going from shades of grey into the black which can be corrected easily. The black however is too void. I know it was new moon at the time of this shoot but just the simplest inclination of a moon there somewhere at a good spot in the black would boost this image for me. I would not crop of the blacks for then the image becomes meaningless, but having something else there as well would push it up a notch for me. Good finish and doing so with a shot like this says something. I think other comments below echo that as well

I like how this is strikingly sharp yet unrevealing. The toning and negative space extend the drama. (not voting). |

Wonderful image, but I'm not crazy about what you did with the pp'ing of where the sky meets the grass. |
