 While taking a crumby picture of the earwig (which I placed on the flower) I noticed an aphid was already there. The earwig began to chase the aphid!

The big one is supposed to be in focus, love the little one it's a part of composition.

Would have preferred more sharpness on the little bugger and less on the heart of the flower, which seems to be the main subject of your photograph now.

I think the subject is bug not flower, so focus on the subject nest time and I'll give you above a 2 Update: for your not so nice personal comment to me I just lowered your score to a "ONE" now I am a really bad ass ain't I. :)

You might wish to adjust your focus a bit. As things stand you have a good focus on the center of the flower, but not so much on the bug. You might also consider taking your image in a less harsh lighting environment. Good luck in the challenge.

How fun... I'm sure you're getting nailed for the big ol earwig being OOF, but the hidden aphid is such a nice treat, thanks for entering this.

Of course everyone is telling you the earwig should be in focus. Sure it should be, but they're ugly and I'm glad it's not! LOL
