I have a photo of one of my grand-kids where you can't see his face and it's one of my favorites .. for some reason it allows me to make up my own story as to what he is thinking .. perfect choice to convert it to b&w as I think it brings out the textures that abound in the wood ... very well done in every way. |

I gave this a 9, the sloping horizon did not convey anything -1. The child looking out to sea made me think at how children end up adrift in a sea of their emotions trying to find a way to connect, but not like anyone else. |

A very different view on this challenge. At first, I wasn't sure what the message was, but as I thought for a second it became clear. Very clever. |
