 I took this as a tribute to [user]bspurgeon[/user]'s Darkened Continuation. () My deepest and most sincere condolences for your family.
This photo is meant to be a symbol for new beginnings. As your wife says life is good.

This is taken after a storm near my building. Natural light.

Post editing: crop, brightness/contrast, b/w, burn, clone out specks, unsharp mask, save for web.

Fantastic composition. I like how its divided into 3 areas of trees, water and a gentle S along the pavement. The ripple and the shadow are superb.

intriguing, not sure why, but this has more metaphorical punch than I would expect... you know, surfaces and depth, identity, etc.

I like that you've produced something that clearly acknowledges Ben's influence without directly trying to copy him. That has some of Ben's magic, but your own stamp. Nice.
