I captured this photo just this morning while waiting for my wife to have a breakfast.. I really love the way the light lit him as sun rays were on his left side. and my position was blocking by a newspaper stand. he's really just talking to someone but i felt his emotion even I'm seeing it in viewfinder. I'm not sure if this suite the challenge but i guess bspurgeon are always looking for the scenes.

-im not planning to entry on this challenge but since i captured this scene then I'll give a try.

Captivating portrait. Seems to be pleading in anger, he wants out. 9

I thank you with a Sterling Sturgeon

his emotion seems like "huh?" :)

I like the layering of different textures and tones. it creates a jarring 3-d effect.

I don't know enough about Ben's style to comment on that aspect of your photo. I really enjoy this shot ... I especially like how the bottom half is a checkered blur - the tilt of the man's head, the expression on his face makes me wonder what he is looking - the b/g curtains kind of match the f/g blur - the veins in his neck add to the intensity of the photo - I feel like he is completely unaware you are taking his photo - very well seen and photographed.

I think Ben will like this as there's a lot to think about here. Kind of a feeling of rush. The placement of the figure and what's in the foreground is so curious. I love the toning and the overall smoothness.

Very nice. Yes, the emotion is visible. I can picture also a wooden old table top and a small glass of red wine with fingerprints on it. But that's another story.

Something ominous about the framing. I can almost hear him speaking, but not quite. Very intense.
