Shot while checking my hive. Took a frame out leaned it against a bucket in the sun and submitted the photo as is (after bringing it to 800pix)

I am glad most of you understood why I chose that title, and knew it just wasn't a "windy title"... these little girls are quite amazing.

thanks for making me look for the connection between bees and the Fibonacci sequence. you may want to look at this thread for another discussion involving life science and mathematics.

Oh, and the image is just awesome too. I especially like the balanced composition and the color palette.

Amazing! At first I just saw the honeycomb pattern and liked it. Then I noticed the tie in to the Fibonacci sequence with the bee reproduction, which happens to also be related The equiangular spiral which is also present in the image. I'm overwhelmed with symbolism and must rate this higher than my original vote.
