This looks like a fun thing to do! The high angle is nice to show what's going on in the kayak.
IMHO, it would have more appeal if they were paddling toward the camera coming in from the top, so that you could see the expressions on their faces. Mid-day sunlight makes the colors strong, but contrast harsh as well.
Re your photographer's comment; It's a good sharp, colorful, image, but just not a "grabber". It does meet the challenge criteria, perfectly.
If they were paddling straight up a 100 ft waterfall, it would be outstanding. : ) |
